Area manager Central Europe

Area manager Central Europe
The Area Manager will be responsible for increasing sales and market share within the assigned territory, and achieving or exceeding corporate sales objectives via all available channels, to include the retail, VAR/reseller, distributor, OEM, and corporate end-user segments. Additional duties include the acquisition of new accounts, support of channel sales and training events, participation in industry tradeshows, and general sales development activities.

- Austria
- Switzerland
This function is based in the European Headquarters, Excelsiorlaan 9, 1930 Zaventem Belgium
Specific tasks:
- Increase sales and market share of all product categories within the distribution, reseller, OEM, retail and corporate end-user segments, in support of corporate objectives.
- Develop and use press contacts to promote and position the company & products
- Acquire new business within the assigned region.
- Provide “street level” data on competitive pricing, products and initiatives.
- Review of customer sales and inventory reports on continual basis to ensure objectives are being met, and take the necessary proactive steps to ensure that targets are being achieved.
- Provide product training to the various business segments as required.
- Participate in industry tradeshows and events as required.
- Effectively manage product life cycles to ensure continuity of business with strategic accounts.
- Analyze inventory levels and recommend and implement methods to accelerate sales.
- Manage the available promotional budgets in the territory (COOP, channel marketing budget) to have the highest return on investment
- Visit on a regular base managed accounts, key accounts, press, as required in the territory
- Pro-active follow up on commercial activities
Profile:
- Good presentation and communication skills
- Excellent team worker
- You are highly motivated and able to work independently.
- You have 3-5 years sales experience, preferable in the B to B
- You have proven sales, negotiation & communication skills.
- You are fluent in English and Dutch and, a very good knowledge of German
- You like taking initiative and are ready to travel 40% of your time
